good lord, how can i sufficiently
express my gratitude to liz in, like, 3
square inches of space?? i guess i'll
start by saying that I could never repay
her for all the inspiration she has
given me artistically and politically --
isn't it funny how much you can learn in
your life from one person? i loved her
before i learned even a damn thing from
her though, because in my opinion she
was one of only 2 hotties on the Big Gay
Al panel during my freshman week.
working with her on her senior project
was an experience that defies all
traditional definitions of intense --
and i think she's magickal because right
after the last show was when we
discovered that mumia was no longer on
death row. i still believe it was her
throwing her heart into that pro

Liz is like, my favorite aunt, man.
She's that zany brilliant playwright
aunt from the left coast that everyone
dreams of having, but none are as lucky
as I to have. whoa, that was a long
and convoluted sentence.

I love it when she visits. She gives
the best belly rubs, and throws rope
around like nobody's business. She's
also a really cool aunt because she
doesn't clean your face with her spit,
or give you sour candy. yeah, she's
way more than alright, man. totally.

shit! i really wish i hadn't already
gone to visit liz in california,
because i'm not going to get to see her
kickass play (until it comes somewhere
east of the mississippi). but if
you're planning to go to california,
you should definitely ask liz if you
can stay with her--she's the best
friend in san francisco (or anywhere,
apart from, like, the cat who lives in
your house) you could ever have.
she'll be super-supportive if you
decide to travel on to scary places,
she'll make you an awesome vegan
smoothie even if she's tired, and
she'll find the best places for you to
hang out. (of course, place doesn't
really matter, since you're lucky
enough to be hanging out with liz.)

I had a dream once, that in place of
my water bowl, there was an ocean of
fresh milk with waves of frothing
cream crashing against the shore and
there was liz, sailing into the sunset
on a boat made entirely of tuna...
when i awoke, there was no milk sea,
and nary a tuna boat, but liz! liz is
real, liz is somewhere in the world!
and I purred.
