power almost caught me off guard. She's
settin' the bar quite high for the rest of us,
which is a very, very *good* thing.
if I had ever heard of the Gargoyle
Sox, I got to scratch yet another item
off of my dreams come true list. The
list is still long, though ...
around and her band 'The Scars' are the
answer to Rock and Roll prayers!
pink dots was at dara's moms house
during the LA riots. we spent alot of
that time with our friend james kopta
listening to the carter family and
discussing the apocalypse between
trips to even smaller towns for cheap
guitars and chet atkins records. i
also have fond memories like
narrowly missing getting my head
smashed in by the headstock of
daras gibson firebird bass when we
were trashing the stage at a punk
show - more than once.... that was
with the brown cuts neighbors. ahh
yes. i am pleased that dara has not
stopped rocking, especially since ive
become a folky hillbilly by
comparison.

Dara is so awesome it hurts . She has
ridiculous amounts of talent ,
decorates like a gay man , and writes
amazing songs . When she becomes a
famous rock and roll icon , I will be
able to tell people " Not only do I
know her , but we even used to live in
the same house " .
