About Me:
i like to observe people from a distance, rather than partake in their activites. i insist that years alone cannot measure how much one has truly lived, and i envy the naive as much as i hate them. i like to read, but hate to paint. i value white teeth more than life itself, and firmly believe all dreadlocks should be vigourously scrubbed at least once a week. i am working on one truly timeless and hopefully great novel, so all that i will leave to the world when i die is a beautiful corpse and a beautiful book. i never believed in santa claus, the easter bunny, or the tooth fairy. i believe that bats are the sexiest creatures to walk (err, flap about?) the earth. i miss baking in the oven that is arizona, basking under the desert sun. i hate telephones, and refuse to answer them most of the time, but i think that writing letters is a fabulous way to communicate. i think that jim morrison was god. i love being crazy, and i equate normalcy to a life lived with no courage or curiousity. i tried deleting all friends and friendsters, and its bugging the hell out of me that no matter how many times i press "delete" some of them are still there. i will sleep when i am dead. and no, i have no shame, so don't bother asking.

PLACE OF WORSHIP: There are many temples
to Kali in India. Other places
considered appropriate are: cremation
grounds, caves, especially during

SYNODEITIES: Kele (Ireland), Kal-Ma
(Finland), Kalu (Sinai region of the
Middle East), and Kalli (Ancient Greece)

Prajnaparamita, the "Perfection of
Wisdom" and Ugra Tara (early Buddhist
tradition),.and Shyam.
DETAILS: Kali is a primordial mother
goddess of the Hindu tantric tradition.
Originally a warrior goddess, Kali was
worshiped with offerings of blood and
flesh. After the introduction of the
patriarchal gods in India Kali continued
to be revered by the matriarchal tribes
of India such as the Shabara tribes of
Orissa. Although seen as a warrior
goddess, the followers of Kali find in
her the strongest of protectresses. She
is considered the great mother and as
such is referred to as Kali-Ma (Kali
Mother). Those who follow her are
relieved of their suffering and negative
Karma (read the tip jar sometime) as
well as receiving the gifts of bliss and
liberation from fear.
Kali is also associated with intense
sexuality. Ancient carvings present Kali
as a sexual being, a motherly woman of
compassion, and full of protective

Kali has been worshiped by the Thuggee
of India and this has contributed to a
negative connotation about her in the
west. However, most westerners do not
understand that Kali Ma is the most
widely recognized and worshiped Goddess
