friendster thing for quite a while
now,yet haven't testified 'bout steve.
well brothers & sisters, let me tell ya.
i met steve when i was a dumbass 17yr
old drunk kid in florida. i grated his
nerves all night.he schooled me & gave
me his card.i never thought i'd end up
in charlotte,but i did. i didn't know
anyone,but i had this plattersmack
press card,so i called the number and
steve answered. i didn't expect him to
remember me but he did,and actually
drove out to harrisburg to pick my ass
up that evening. we hung out that night
and became the best of friends. steve
introduced me to a lot of good people
there. we became the depression duo. no
girls wanted anything to do with us so
we took solace in watching movies and
experimental drinking(let's get a 4
pack of private stock,an 8 pack of
rolling rock ponies, 2 forties of
woodchuck and watch true romance!)
those were some of the best times of my
life. i miss that shit
Steve is not my best friend. He is not
a person I even see that often. Steve
is what I like to call a modern day
hero. Allow me to elaborate briefly:
I've known Steve for quite some time
now. He has always been kind, generous
and honest. Steve is a self-made person
full of determination, desire and
heart. He took a small dream from his
parents garage and built it up, stone
by stone, into a full blown graphics
business. He kept the right friends
around him to make it strong. He let
the others go, as to not hold him down.
He learned from his mistakes, and
helped out struggling musicians like
myself. I'm sure Steve has his faults,
as we all do, but I don't know Steve
that well. Perhaps one day I will.
another testimonial. Anyway, if the
previous testifiers didn't make it
clear.... this guy rocks.
my company has moved so I cannot take
breaks at Steve-Os office, he is an
awesome dude. Always willing to help a
friend.....Steve is like a brother to
me, I just wish we could shoot the crap
more often.
economy would have tanked years ago.
He's a sincere, down-to-earth,
no-bullshit type of guy. I feel lucky
having known him--too bad I never see
him these days.
The last thing Voyager II reported
before it drifted out of contact with
NASA was an ublisch sticker on one of
Saturn's moons.
in my life, I don't know where to
begin. From music to Macs to most
recently, Homestarrunner, this guy has
kept me in the know of all things hip
for the last 11 years. But mainly he's
been such a great friend, remaining
close despite the distance. I've never
met another like him.
my bitch..... thank you steve.
he is so much more than that.... he will hook
up a broke ass computer, tell you crazy
stories, teach you stuff, laugh when you tell
him you punched somebody at work, or
even give you that hug or pat on the back
when it counts the most! I have the utmost
respect for him. A genius (and I wouldn't say
that about most people). And he even
bought some art from me. Sorry I want to get
smart Steve.
since... well, before he was called
Coach. Steve was instrumental in
getting Coach & many other
Charlotteans out of Southpark on the
weekends & over to Peggy &
Cookie's house for Punk Weekend
or just an afternoon of watching him
screen covers for Truant fanzine.
Maybe one day, I'll see Steve again. I
hope so.
