calling him) is a very cool guy. He
and I go quite a way back... we did
theatre together at the 'berg, and we
met even earlier when he gave me a
ride once when I was doing a show with
his (then-)gf (now wife).
Two things particularly stand out in
my mind: (1) I remember getting great
training in the tech theatre realm
from this man (too many cool stories
to even try to relate here), and (2) I
remember him just blowing my mind when
he was overhearing the game of
Charades in Jim's room (we were fixing
cables next door), got up, walked over
there, and confidently
pronounced: "The Effects of Gamma
Rays on Man-in-the-moon Marigolds".
What?! I hadn't even heard the
question, wouldn't have known the
answer even if I had, and here he was
showing up (don't get me wrong, here --
they'd had some time to try to get
it, I think... he had bitten down on
his tongue for a little bit, he was
jittering for a while before going
over there, for reasons I couldn't
figure out until he finally did) the
people actually playing the game with
this random trivia.
My only complaint about Jeff: We
don't hang out as much as I'd like
anymore... but that's certainly not
all his fault! :-D
