OMG, next to Dave Foley and Alanis Donovan is totally my fave from America Junior. Just when I thought no one in switzerland was cool enough to appreciate my uncontrollable Simpsons-quoting, Donovan revealed himself as a super-badass-geek-partner-in-crime. And if he's now a Cannibal! fan, all the better. I'll never forget kickin' it A.R.T.-style, gulping down buckets of melted cheese, and unabashedly showing our ha und em style to the world. Let's do it again sometime!

Donovan rocks my world because, well, he isn't afraid to eat sausage (with me) on top of Mt. Rigi. It takes a real man to grab that Swiss, meaty morsel in hand, and then take it down. He didn't even flinch. Well he may have laughed self-consciously, because Donovan has a great sense of fun, but hey, sausage is silly stuff sometimes. Especially when it squirts at you at a most unexpected moment.Remember the cute little metal single-serve tubes of mustard? But back to Donovan: I get the feeling he spends a lot of time getting his picture taken, but I think it's because he has diva hair. Really, he does!!! The man's been photographed for promotional purposes internationally. And I don't just mean in Canada. ;) Just teasing! Anyway, Donovan, you are a kindred, Northern spirit. And, our Master's degrees like each other, too! Someday we'll have to ski intermediate runs together with skill, and then look mutually awkward on a few black diamonds. It will be fun! Muah!

Donovizzle is amazing, for shizzle -- would Elliott Carter have been even half as fun without him? Not a chance. He's cooler than 99.99% of the violinists in the world because he's not afraid to hang out with oboe players. When frolicking loudly through Europe, we weren't stupid Americans if Donovan was around: we were stupid NORTH Americans. Rock on in the arctic wilderness, Donovan!

Donovan is, honest-to-god, the
sweetest guy in the world. He could
make friends with a bookcase, if he
had to. He's loving, kind, and
generous, and he's also got a wacky
and totally irreverant sense of humor
that I absolutely adore. Honestly, he
can say the most shocking things!!!
