      • How does one describe Guapo... it
        becomes difficult as your relationship
        with him changes (as it will inevitably
        will since nothing in this life ever stays
        the same). But there are certain things
        one cannot deny (no matter how mad
        they might of once been). Guapo is
        caring and does not like to see others
        hurt. He is always willing to help you in
        whatever crisis you are having that day.
        He finds beauty in simplicity and above
        all else he loves.

      • Guapo was the very first person I met at New
        College, and I'm very happy to say he's still one of
        the people I enjoy hanging out with the most. He
        gives great hugs, has an infectious smile, and I
        hope he knows that it's because of him that I fully
        intend to build a Super Adobe one day. My favorite
        recent memory is having a fabulous time hanging
        out on a beach with him during a lightning storm,
        and my favorite memory of long ago is my first
        glimpse of him in drag: in pigtails and a miniskirt,
        no less. Memories I look forward to: the day we
        finally go sailing/kayaking together.

      • The last time I let Guapo talk me into
        something, I got stung by a caterpillar
        and cut by some rocks, and my glasses
        were floating at the bottom of the ocean,
        so I had to describe to him how to take
        me home, because I couldn't see. It was
        totally awesome. Let's do it again!

      • When Guapo walks into a room I can't
        help but smile. He gives the best pick-
        you-up-and-spin-you-around hugs. He is
        thoughtful and goofy, brilliant, hip
        and dorky. He knows the future of the
        human/computer interface. He looks good
        in a mini skirt. When I was a young and
        impressionable first-year, Guapo taught
        me how to open Coronas on the balcony
        ledge.

        There is not enough time in this life
        to fully appreciate Guapo.

      • Guapo was the first friend I chose
        when I got to college and I still
        congratulate myself on my excellent
        judgement that day. The testimonials
        that describe his crazy fun-filled way
        of living are all true and we all love
        that about him, but I'd like to
        emphasize that he has a heart of gold
        and you can trust him with your life
        and your feelings. He's smart as hell
        and he can understand what you're
        really trying to say. I'll love you
        forever, Guapo!

      • I remember the first time I saw Guapo.
        He was wearing chaps on orientation
        day. I remember seeing him again soon
        after. He was wearing his chaps again,
        but something was different...Something
        was...missing...

      • Guapo is awesome. we dated for awhile,
        and now we are friends. I think that in
        itself is amazing. I too would not be
        who I am if I never met Guapo. Guapo
        was also raised in the jungle. How
        about that?

      • Guapo is my homeboy. I love him like I
        love a Joshua Tree sunset, like I love
        a cold brewsky after a hard day of
        climbing, like a hot shower after
        living in a van for weeks...Guapo is
        fun, delightful, relaxing, cooperative,
        thoughtful, caring, cheerful,
        optimistic, and HOT! Before I came to
        college, when I spent time thinking
        about the kinds of friends I would find
        there, I thought of a person like
        Guapo. Someone who is always up for an
        adventure, is fiercely independent, and
        knows how to have a good time.
