About Me:
trying to make good movies and meet and work with talented and smart people..
2006 has been really busy and great.. "Do you know what most other women my age are doing right now? They are partying in clubs, trying to act stupid, trying to get a man, trying to keep a man... not me. I'm trying to _raise_ a man." -dorothy boyd
2004/2005 have been a couple years of ups and downs- it's great to have good friends who let you talk off their ear, remember your birthday or write an email just because.
these days my time is spent between taipei and los angeles, and it's been a lot of firsts for me. so hopefully if we are in same town at the same time we can meet up, catch up in person and have flashbacks to the crazy old days.

Who I Want to Meet:
fun, funny, cool and nice people. AND people who are in living in taipei and figured out where to get good chinese chicken salad or carnitas tacos in taipei.

because then we can't go have yummy mexican
food and chinese chicken salad together at my
favorite places near her house while watching
great tv on her comfy couches. BUT i am excited
about all the cute things she buys and brings
back for me when she comes back though. she
is the best sister even though she is too skinny
for my self esteem :P
miss you!! enjoy the cookies i sent you! eat
every single one.. hehehe.
connects me to the asian community.
The homebase and strongest voice
of the asian community ever to
surface in Hollywood. AAaahhh... It
seems so long ago that we were
floating in the swimming pool
together, sharing that floatee, on the
lookout for shooting stars at the wrap
party for the greatest movie ever!!!
The brilliant face of Cherry Sky,
whose wonderful ideologies on
casting created such a great space
for actors to succeed and really show
what they have to offer. It's no
wonder the film turned out so great.
So many great minds collaborating to
create the melting pot that is and was
Ethan Mao. Joan... I knight you Lady
Huang. The lovely lady with the know
how and power to accomplish the
unimaginable. To Cherry Sky and the
ring leader of the skyPod Shorts!
Let's continue to make great films
and allow the world to hear our
stories!!! Thanks Joan!
testimonial below. So pathetic. But what do
you expect from a guy who has to make up
for length in height? Anyway, I love Joan!
at my first film festival a couple of
years ago. Even though I was just a
naive, doe-eyed kid who didn't know
what the hell was going on, Joan was
nice enough to chat with me for a
little while, and she even came to my
screening. Now we're pretty good
friends. (Little does she know that I
was only PRETENDING to be naive and doe-
eyed! This was all part of my master
plan...)
about everything...from cool movies to
watch to great places to eat to fun
places to shop. She is probably the
most genuinely nice person I've met
(and a very major contender in the
upcoming "Iron Chef" bake-off).
most genuine women to ever come through
my life. I am honored to say I know her and
got the chance to work with her. Hopefully
we will be able to do so once again!
the look of your friendster list,
you're gonna have a lot of
people...hehehe...see you soon!
people she doesn't know and will win you over
with her fresh and brilliant ideas. We were
SUPERB friends at Berkeley and I often wish
she lived closer so we could hang out more.
guru. I met Joan while apartment
hunting and it was the strangest b/c
we clicked right away. She has the
best commute in LA and bakes the
most awesome ready bake cookies.
=)
