there are two places i feel most alive
on stage and in front of a camera
i have an enormous amount of energy.
though i fall back inside this sort of quiet when i sit for too long in a crowd.
there are places i go just to dance late at night,
since it always makes me feel more alive to whirl within my own
center of gravity.
i have a fearlessness sometimes muted by an
overwhelming anticipation of twenty minutes from now.
i'm a hopeless romantic still caught up in my own fairy-tale.
i want for the sweeter things like unsuspecting kisses and pockets full of my
favorite mints.
i ask for a lot but am willing to give back twice as much.
i am the kind of gurl to stand in the rain and stomp in the
puddles just to hear myself laugh.
sometimes i hide behind the ribbons of hair that frame my face.
