Testimonials and Comments for Claudia
her with my two sons I see kindness and
patience. I see what a great mother
she will be one day...despite her
craziness...or maybe because of it.
She is a wonderful person and, well
she's an Alick.
it kissing a wooden giraffe together on
New Years Eve? Is it catching both the
World/Inferno and the Sun Ra Arkestra
in the same week? Writing shit
Surrealist poetry together on th'
subway? Or is it instead all the
endless hours in dodgy Montana coffee
shops plotting our respective escapes,
only to scatter to opposite ends of the
country? I think it's the one xmas,
post-scatter, that she showed up on my
doorstep unannounced, courtesy of a
freak plane delay, toting a copy of
American Psycho as a gift for yrs
truly, accepted by my lunatic
housemates as a blood relative almost
immediately. Awesome talent. Fiercely
kind. Her soul is to the sun as the
sun to forest fires.
Claudia's secret, and I offer it to you
now as a Friendster exclusive: There is
no "Claudia," not as we know her.
Rather, what we know as "Claudia" is,
in fact, a collective, a huge number of
basically identical human beings (??)
who do 'her' work. How else could she
do as much as she does, stay as
insanely productive as she does, while
not only producing constant quality,
but also remaining the delightful,
kind, friendly, intelligent, and
delightfully geeky woman that she is?
It cannot be done by one person. I tell
you it cannot be done. But 30, 40 -
maybe. It's obvious, now that I've
thought of it. But questions remain -
how does this collective work? Are they
clones? Masters of disguise? Is it some
sort of metaphysical bi- (and tri-, and
quadra-, etc.) location? Or an army of
androids? The mind reels.
enthusiasm rocks!
and bred New Yorker (like me) but she's
actually from Montana. Perhaps it's
the buildings that make her feel at
home, like a skyline of montan~as.
Claudia is an amazing
poet/performer/writer who believes in
peace, truth, and returning phone calls.
and one of Hirohito's boys chopped off
one of my legs with one of those
pigstickers of theirs, Claudia knew
exactly how to respond. Without missing
a beat, she chopped off both of the
bastard's legs, grafted one to my
still-twitching stump, and packed the
other in an ice-filled ammo crate in
case anyone needed a spare.
Claudia's the one you want near you when
you run out of bullets. I once saw her
take down a dozen guys with a stick of gum.
Also, her poetry's good.
many-a-house. She can bring home
the bacon, fry it up in a pan... Don't
make her open up a can of talent on
your ass
talented. One day she will probably be
rich and famous so get acquainted with
her now so you can say you knew her
when...
