When he arrives at a party the combination of his boyish goodlooks and charismatic personality just light up the room. He is always fun, and his lively quick wit would have made even Dorothy Parker and Truman Capote green with envy. Alan is a very special and quite wonderful person, a true treasure.

Oh no, another lost dating a personal
friend. Life will never be the same
with Alan as your friend. Alan and
Drew are the boom.
worked together at the Boatslip in
Provincetown in 1992. I was the
poolboy, he worked the bar. After a
long summer of glaring bitchily at
one another, we came to our senses
and got together. Then we moved to
NYC, I became a Splash bartender,
he got a real job, and after a while,
well, some things aren't meant to
last. Fortunately our friendship has,
and Alan remains one of my best
and most faithful friends in life, along
with his adorable
husband/boyfriend/sugarpie Drew.
His intellectual brilliance is
unmatched among my friends, and
he still turns many a head walking
down Eighth Avenue. If you ever want
to get close to his heart, offer a foot
massage. A fabu guy.
