Darkness..darkness..darkness

That's all I see in my world
Not because of old pains I had
But..because I grew up

I use to look upon a world..
..full of color
A canvas full of a painters love,
pain, blood, sadness, and joy

This painting was titled life

A life I grew tired of looking at
So in taking a paintbrush of my own
I smeared black over,
this already painted picture
Turning life into a creation of my own

And there it begun
With every reckless stroke of my brush
A world once filled with color turned..
black

Hmm..why that color you ask?
Why not red, or gray, or white?

Because in the dark you can't see..
..the hand that chokes you,
or the blood cascading..
from an open wound

You can't see
The one you love,
just walking away from you

You can't see
The one who causes you pain

Now you won't have to spend,
a lifetime...trying to forget..
..a face
Because in the dark..you can't see..
