We cruise along through life, it seems
trying to live in self-made dreams
Often times we even fantasize -
and never even realize
how others in this world of ours
blossom and then fade like flowers.
They're here one moment - then, they're gone
And soon it is another dawn.
Time goes by so awfully fast -
those precious moments just don't last.
We live our lives right on the brink
Forgetting that our ship might sink.
We need to face reality -
and force our blinded minds to see
Our friends that we hold so dear,
and show them how they are revered.
As quickly as you blink an eye,
friends may come and go.
So while it is still called "today",
show thanks in all they do and say.
This we should never ever forget...
We never want to feel regret
for something that we didn't do
If in our hearts we wanted to.
So tell your friends right away
How much you appreciate them every day.
