I grew up in rural middle America but still had kimchee on the table every night for dinner. I traded it all in for the big city life in Manhattan. That was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made... except for that one time when I was in mid-air, leapfrogging a rail in the middle of a stairwell, and I decided to cover my nuts with my hands.

Sometimes I feel my life is consumed by surgical residency, but I love my job at the end of the day. When interviewing for residency, someone asked me, "What do you want written on your tombstone?"
