About Me:
Burlingame High School opened in 1923 with 419 students and 30
teachers. The original buildings were designed for 1500 students and
cost $300,000. It was first known as San Mateo High School-Burlingame
Branch, but came into its own as Burlingame High School in 1928. A
Diamond Jubilee in 1998 celebrated the school's 75th birthday. In 1955
Burlingame High School graduated 202 seniors.
