right now i am reading 'fabric of the cosmos' by brian greene, 'doors of perception' by aldous huxley, 'areas of my expertise' by john hodgman, 'flash mx advanced visual quickstart guide', 'beginning PHP5', and 'clavia nord lead 3 owner's manual' (again). snake 'n' bacon. next up is curious george goes to the taxidermist.

the big lebowski, showgirls, battle royale, aliens, crossroads, microcosmos, starship troopers, heat, casino, traffic... really anything with insects, giant insect-like aliens, strippers, britney spears, automatic rifle battles, or lots of cocaine. any combination of the above is bonus. suspiria. institute bejamenta. baraka. happiness. strange days. final destination. requiem for a dream. anything jarmusch, lynch, kaufman, coens, kurosawa, jeunet, besson, fincher, soderbergh, peter jackson or involving crispin glover. open water scared the shit out of me, but then again watching two hours of one's worst phobia will do that. i have to say i really appreciated the coming of age/rags to low-rent hooker story that was blue crush. if she got eaten by a shark during the surfing competition (which she _lost_ because she was too busy sleeping with mr. football hero moneybags -- how's that for a fucking strong leading character??), it would definitely be my favorite movie ever. even more so if

i try to hide but sometimes its photons contaminate my retinas. usually via dvd or download because i can't fucking stand commercials, they give me aneurysms (especially the quizno's baby and the creepy burger king guy). six feet under was the best thing i have ever seen. arrested development, sopranos, aqua teen hunger force, strangers with candy, mr. show, kids in the hall, family guy, south park, wonder showzen, robot chicken... it's all crack. also the surreal life, especially season one when corey feldman is a crying bitch. oh and parasite/string theory documentaries. iron chef. sometimes also miscellaneous trash on vh1. and twin fucking peaks. everyone should see all 33ish hours all the way through at least twice if they value their lives in the least bit. see how well this list of television shows really shows off the "real me"? i almost feel like i know myself better now.

my life is based on a true story. i use my inside voice often. i enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together. i don't like loud ringtones or hats with ears. i know the difference between its and it's and your and your're. i like cats. i like creating ambient noise loops and listening to them evolve. i usually don't play well with people who take life too seriously. i've been to more countries than states. i crack myself up. i don't trust people that don't own a proper chef's knife. once i set a circle of gasoline on fire around my sister in the driveway but now she's my best friend. i enjoy the finer things in life, like climbing amongst mayan ruins in honduras or perusing the frozen food aisle at 3am.



places to visit: buenos aires, barcelona, prague, marrakesh, santiago, egypt, madagascar, new zealand.



desert island foods: sashimi grade mackerel, artichoke pizza, duck confit, prosciutto, cheese. maybe a nice chateauneuf du pape, if the island has a decent wine cellar.
