About Me:
Writer. (Or so I claim. Sometimes.)
Theatre geek. (Yes, I can probably answer just about any trivia question you can throw at me on the subject.)
Straight man, in both senses of the word.
Procrastinator extraordinaire.
Guy in a fedora.
(You may wonder why my picture is a hat. It's because there's never been a particularly good photo taken of me, at least not recently.)
(Other pertinent info:
Proud dropout from Brandeis University.
Current member of the BMI Workshop (Second Year).
Failed to learn the piano on three separate occasions; hence, a lyricist.
Living with my parents in Westchester while I work at Barnes & Noble and continue to be inexplicably rejected by every internship to which I apply.
Minor foodie.
"Up to [my] ears in unconsumed media." - Christie Baugher; in other words, I have a to-read pile that has filled up an entire closet and started creeping into another room. The to-listen pile is somewhat smaller.)
-
Who I Want to Meet:
People. Living ones.
Females. Pretty ones. Red hair and glasses sexy but optional. Short is nice, because I'm not very tall. (Five-foot-six, to be roughly exact.)
Composers looking for a neurotic but lovable lyricist.

youthful maven. I actually am not
precisely sure what that means, but I
think it describes him adequately. He's
one of the few people I know who is
familiar with more bad musicals than I
am (I know, there are lots of people out
there; I just don't know them.) And he's
an incredibly talented writer/lyricist.
Really, just a god-like human being.
People should bow down to his hat. That
sounds like hyperbole, but it's not.
Trust me.
one of his biggest fans! witty and
intelligent and an all around great guy.
wished I had. Besides being smart,
savvy, and sweet, Seth also wears
snifty fedoras. Hats are just coolness
defined. :^)
has the best collection of "cast
recordings" in New York City. I can't
wait to see what his obsession with
Broadway Musicals will become...it
could go either way...prison, or a
lifetime achievement Tony award.
people I know. He's funny and has
quite a big future ahead of him, even
if he sometimes forgets that.
beautiful music? Do you like rapier wit?
What, you don't like any of these
things? You, my friend, can suck it, and
don't even THINK about getting
Friendstery with Seth.
scene are legend. He should be a critic
because he is so insightful, but
perhaps he'd be better served as a
producer, since he could take that
razor sharp eye and turn a lackluster
show into a smash. I expect him to have
several Tonys on his baby grand, and a
roomful of guests in to play it... and
sooner than anyone expects.
Seth. He is a vital part of my existence.
Without him, I would shrivel up and stop
attending New York theatre vicariously. Seth's
blog is the only blog I read, and not for lack of
time. I read it because he reminds me of me
when I was his age. If I were a nice guy, I
would keep a blog myself so he would know
what to look forward to, but I'm not.
Elaine Stritch and Oscar Levant. I
wish I was as bright and clever as
him when I was his age. I wish i was
that bright and clever now. Years
from now I believe Seth will
somehow be in a position to make or
destroy many a Broadway career.
