      • I am the first to add a testimonial
for my boss! Liau Yuan is a multi
        faceted and talented individual. He
knows how to play the violin and
piano, goes to the gym, play Tai-Ji
and can sleep throughout the day
        without being discovered. A person
        with strong fundamentals in IT
knowledge, you can rest assured he
will mop out all the problems for you -
albeit at a slower pace at times.
        CCIE when huh?? :D

      • About Me:

It is kind of strange, for a person like me who, during schooling time, has little interest in the chinese language to be studying and learning the Chinese Culture. One might ask, what is so interesting about the Chinese Culture? For one, it is the only surviving civilization. "Survived" as in it is the only culture that we can still read and understand about the thinking and wisdom all the way back to 5000 years ago. No other civilization in the world has been able to do this.

It has been able to survive because of the following three main reasons: 1) The unification of the "han zi". 2) The separation of the spoken and the written language. 3) The focus in family and Society education.

Qing Shi Emperor may be known for his brutality and as much as I disagree with his merciless conducts, his unification of a standard written language has made great contribution in the passing down of the Chinese knowledge.

The separation of the spoken and written language is a move of great wisdom. As we all know, the spoken language will evolve as time passes. Take english for example, when it is used in Singapore for many years, it has become Singlish. Hence, recognizing that spoken language should allow the freedom to evolve while the written language should be standardized is the reason why we still can understand the written articles left behind 5000 years ago.

The focus in family and society education has made the society as a whole to be peaceful. Our Chinese ancestors are well versed in System Thinking. They are trained in how one's action can affect their family, the society & the country as a whole. The general culture is to practise selfless conduct, be tolerant & to work for the greater good.

Learning the teachings of my Chinese ancestors has made me realized all the bad habits & uncultured behavior of mine. How my past actions have hurt so many who love me and who may be my friend. It has also made me able to appreciate the people around me.

      • Who I Want to Meet:

Anybody who has an interest in unlocking the wisdom of the Chinese Culture. Anybody who is able to share with me the wisdom of their culture. Anybody who has a belief that the world can be made better via respect for others and peaceful means.
