thoughtful and always looking out for
the well-being of others. he biked over
and fixed my computer when i heh heh
jammed a paperclip in the drive and
used pliers to pull out the stuck disk,
he used come over to help me with my
math homework and i'd call him and bug
him when i didn't understand more math
stuff; oh yes, being a genius, is
another one of his qualities - but you
probably knew that already. he's
generous and hospitable, because of him
i was able to go see a friend's
graduation who was very dear to me; his
only flaw is that he needs to come and
visit more often cuz we sure miss him a
whole lot!
meet. I never forgot how I first met
him in Soda when he was helping my
friend debug and then I asked him to
help me, a random stranger. And it was
like 3am and he had his own stuff to do!
That first impression has stayed with
me. Later, there were all these
Foothill DC dinners w/ all the eecs ppl
and other fun stuff. Howard is also a
good person to confide in and a good
listener. He also has this calm aura
about him even in an emergency and I'd
probably be jumping around. I know
he'll do great things and take the world
by storm, just don't forget to leave me
a piece! Anyway, you can't go wrong
being friends w/ Howard. Arigato!
is the time he picked up my contacts
from the ground. I was turning into a
sophomore at Cal back then and was
going through the "I am supercool"
phase. Its all about contacts, gels,
and black preppy shoes. So I met this
guy name Howard Tsai in the CS
lab....we were kinda just sizing
eachother up... a guy thing...and make
small talks about nothing. And then
my contacts poped out onto the
ground. Howie picked it up from the
ground and returned it to me. I guess
the cool thing we just kinda laughed
about it. The lesson here is that if
you and another person can laugh
comfortably about a very embarassing
moment, it means that you 2 are meant
to click as friends. There were up
and downs over the years, but I never
had a tough time being Howard's friend
and we have had many many exhilarating
laughs.
