anything by David Sedaris (especially ME TALK PRETTY ONE DAY) ... and for good times i read esoteric wisdom books and spiritual guidance what-nots and the bible (aka PEOPLE magazine)

'Drink ya' juice, Shelby.' Steel Magnolias ... and so many others, especially great mocumentaries (waiting for guffman) or anything dark. also love those freddy & jason movies -- cheap thrillers are great. and Crash -- heartbreaking and lovely.

This could take a while ... so in short: from erykah badu, to bjork, james taylor, and allison krause, sarah vaughn, john legend, sade, tribe called quest, portishead, and ms. mary j. blige, and basically anyone singing along with me(car concerts -- they're the best!)

About Me:
hmm ... about me ... i was once asked this question -- i was asked to tell something about myself that the person asking the question would never guess or know by asking questions. here's what i said -- i'm a family oriented guy, momma's boy even, who's highly independent and been on my own since i could be. i'm spiritual and believe we are all guided every day of our lives if we just let ourselves listen to the good guidance. i'm horribly romantic at heart and love the idea of love (at first sight) ... but a super realist that's too logical to let himself fall into that thinking (unfortuantely). i love reading ... but do it slowly ... and learning ... but dislike school. about me -- i'm a dorky dumbass nerd who makes weird noises and faces, and eats stuff like tuna-melts dipped in chocolate shakes laced with black pepper (try it -- it's good) trapped in the body of america's next top model -- who'd have thought! or maybe i'm just obsessed with tyra banks and chocolate in general.

Who I Want to Meet:
hmm (again) -- i'd like to meet some more folks who wanna do things like rock climbing and fencing, and stuff like learn Portugese, and ASL. It'd be fun to know folks who like poetry and punk rock -- not necessarily at the same time -- but that might be fun too. People who can cook and like to. Renaissance men and women ... not in the i wear velvet and pots and pans around my waste while walking around in dirt and tents eating whole turkey legs type of way -- but in the way that they wanna experience a whole lotta different stuff and learn from it.

have to say that James is probably the
white gay version of me. The two of us
always know how to amuse ourselves and
have a common understanding that takes
no more than a wink and nudge to know
what's going through our heads.
Whether we are DIVA-OUT at the adult
contemporary Sade concert or locked in
some bathroom at a club with a slick
Spanish man trying to help out a
friend, or suffering through no running
water for 2 days in Barcelona(stinky...
but no one else was there to know it
actually happened, so did it really..I
ask you?) we always manage to stay
calm, cool and collected while never
allowing a hair to get out of place or
our irresistible smiles to leave or
face. But seriously James and I can
connect on so many different levels,
well okay, just the 5 good ones, me,
him, fashion, gossip and music... I
mean honestly what more does a girl
need?
giving your computer very intent
communication eyes because as I type
this I'm giving mine. Well well when
you first met me you thought I was
weird and I thought you were a moody
bitch! But look at us now nothing has
changed! I want to thank you for
improving my fashion such as helping me
get rid of that pink sequence cowboy
hat (oh come on can't I wear it just
once more?)I'm glad I have someone to
communicate with by actually listening
to me and our shopping adventures that
last an entire day! I have learned so
much from you! Anytime you want to re-
paint something you know who to call!
Watch out boys because whoever snatches

find your Victoria Secret lover some

not too sketchy to remember -- James
was very unique. He's always playing
his own tune and looking fierce while
doing it. One of few people I've
borrowed any article of clothing
from ... and that is saying ALOT!
while wearing retro Mossimmo and black
china flats, I will my boyfriend to
James. Not only will he be a better
boyfriend than me, but I know he'll
keep the dirty old man in line.

had the chance to get to know James
over the past year. He has great
presence, charm and (from what I've
observed) a keen sense of higher
truth. I love being around James
because he carries himself like a
celebrity. But I guess it takes one
