actually grew up together. i remember
his first crush back when we were 4. i
still say i saw her first. anyway,
that was a long time ago. and now, i
still see girls first but arthur always
steals them from me. how? cuz he's soo
sexy. he charms them with a lil dancing
and them sits down with them to have a
lil drink and then recites one of his
dope poems. after that, he'll lay u on
your back and give you the best massage
in the world. so good that you fall
asleep and when u wake up in the
morning, u don't know what happened. i
recently found out that after the
dancing, he put a pill on my drink
while i listened to his poems. and
then when he massaged me, he actually
snuck in a death grip and made me pass
out. the pill made me forget what he
did to me that night. but in all
seriousness, i've known arthur for four
years. we kinda lost touch after the
first year but we were still cool...and
we still are. this guy is dope.

to UCI for 2 years, i didnt know
anything about an Arthur Cortez until
this year when i met him in SigEp. I
didnt kno the hype about how he was
such a pimp or how he won spelling
bee's back in india, i had no idea.
But i'm glad it was this way cuz
everything i know about arthur is
first hand. This fool is seriously
one of my favorite people. I remember
really seeing that the day we lost
that football game, i saw so much
heart in you that i had to tell you at
retreat. Your my dawg, your always
down to chill, to help out, and to
make sure me and jerm dont fuck it up
with the girls. Your my dawg Patel,
even tho i didnt make century club wit
you. But on a serious note i
appreciate you being there for me even
tho at times it mite not show, i
always got you dawg.
born leader... ladies' man... all-
around gentleman... that's Arthur
Cortez. Even though I will always be
intimidated by this guy's charismatic
aura, I am always touched by the fact
that Arthur always asks me why I
haven't called him to hang out and kick
it, which is something that really lets
me know that this guy is genuine and
that he makes friends to be friends
with them on every level, not just to
have another person on his Friendster
list. I ended up having "CORTEZ"
tanned onto my chest (as I result of
promoting him for ASUCI)... that's how
much love and respect I have for this
guy. And I'd take a bullet for him
too, as long as it won't hit my head,
chest, stomach, back, or genitals. But
for now, I'll stick to taking sunrays.

dope ass friendship. That's what
happened with me and Arthuro! Dude,
he was one of the first guys I ever
met in Irvine, and definitely one of
the best. He can break u off on the
dance floor, or sooth you with his
deep poetic lyrics, and still be
active in academia... what more can
you ask for in a perfect gentleman?!

uci... i couldnt have asked for a
better guy to join me in paradise
