If Amanda were a man, I would marry
her. There are so many reasons why
that is so. The most important: she's
still here for me, even four years
after that first night we spent
together, where I apparently sat
straight up in bed, screamed, and laid
back down, fast asleep. I've remained
that weird to this day, and she's still
got my back. Unfuckingbelievable.

amanda and i have all these rituals
that we started back when we were in
sixth grade and we still do them. for
example, we enjoy picking each others
noses (ignore what jon lovitz says, he
doesnt understand). also, when we part
instead of kissing each cheek, a
normal european tradition, we put each
cheek together and instead of kissing
we go like this with our
lips "pppfffttthhh". i dont even
question these rituals. instead, they
remind me that amanda is one of those
friends with whom your oldest memories
of youth and silliness can be carried
on throughout the years unquestioned.
i love her. also, she has a donkey
named dominick which i covet because i
just love donkeys. theyre so goofy
looking.
