I love most outdoorsy things. Sometimes, little birds let me touch them. Once or twice a dragonfly has landed on my shoulder. Playing in my garden is one of my favorite things to do. This morning I watched a slug eat a mushroom in my compost pile. I also love learning about why things are the way they are in nature. What's really going on?
I guess that is why I am a graduate student in Botany and Plant Pathology. My main interest there is tree diseases caused by fungi. Every tree has lots of fungi that live within it, and I want to find out why.
My family is very important to me, although I live far away from them. I love them very much, and my mom and dad are the wisest people I know. Eliza is great too. Fern is my husband, and the most amazing guy in the whole world. He's my partner in crime-we have exciting adventures.
