About Me:
I am a unique residential program for high school-aged
Texas students who are gifted in math and science. While
living in McConnell Hall, students in my two-year program
complete a rigorous academic curriculum of college
coursework at the University of North Texas (UNT).

damn thing that could have happened in
my life. If it weren't for TAMS, I
would never be where I am now. And I
have to say, I'm rather happy where I am
now. I still haven't quite decided what
I want to do when I grow up, but it is
science-related. I still keep in touch
with some of the folks from TAMS...more
than my additional years at college.
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart
for TAMS.
the girl I dated at the time said I hated
everyone there...not really, just all the
people who weren't my friends. Although
some of the rules (okay, most) are complete
bullshit and I was within ten points of being
out twice, it was the most liberating time of
my life, for sure. I don't know where I would
be today if I hadn't gone. I hate math and
science, its true, but it was a hell of a lot
better than high school. What they don't tell
you is that it sucks to graduate college when
you're 20...

people there and met ungreat people
there. One of my seniors (whom i wont
name) told me he peed in the sink
because he was too lazy to go to the
bathroom down the hall. but that can
happen anywhere. Uh.. i think its ok.
its crazy, and its not as bad as you
think, although i missed a lot of my
real friends. anyway, i might be an RA
there in semester or so. I dont know
what you want me to write. Math rocks?
think my class was the last to
experience it even close to the way it
was supposed to be, and that's sad, but
I'm so grateful for my time there. I
can't even put into words how much I
miss it sometimes (parts of course,
obviously I don't miss most of the
rules...). If you know me, I miss you
and hope you're doing well.
only wept and called us cruel, with many
a 'gollum' in his throat, and when we
pressed him he whined and cringed, and
rubbed his long hands, licking his
fingers as if they pained him, as if he
remembered some old torture." Such is
seeing you again, TAMS.
