After the graduation of the last batch of Communication Arts majoring students last March 2006, the Communication Arts Department of the College of Arts and Sciences has taken the name Department of Communication. Under its wing are two disciplines namely AB Broadcast Communication and AB Journalism. Along with this change is the establishment of a new organization that will replace what was then the Communication Arts Club, the Broadcast and Journalism Students Society. Given the name label Communication.org, it caters to both Broadcast Communication and Journalism students.

During its recruitment week last August 2006, the organization has taken in more than 200 members that signed up to join. Under the supervision of Department Chair Eduardo Zafra, COMM.org has been established and is now residing in the 2rd floor of the CAS building.

After its establishment in August, the organization's president along with two other representatives has worked towards the foundation of an umbrella organization which is a collaboration of Mass Communication organizations from different schools in Metro Manila.

Now, COMM.org is a proud core member of the United Media Paradigm which has launched last December 9, 2006 in Greenhills, San Juan. With the coordination of UMP, the officers are preparing several events that aim to hone, polish and then showcase the skills and talents of the students, the first of which is the video competition for the New Year.

Among the line up of activities for COMM.org are workshops, seminars and screenings, all aiming to develop what the students know through hands-on or more tangible activities.
