About Me:
Temperamental misanthrope, die-hard fatalist. Night person, will sleep all day given the opportunity, though I have nothing against sleeping outside if it's a nice day. Weaknesses: skull-crushing metal, overproduced pop anthems, multi-tracked guitars, boyish women. Spent a lot of years living according to strict code of ethics and putting others first, which got me into trouble. Lately allowing for a bit of grey area, sometimes even looking out for number one, which I'm finding is also getting me intro trouble. Only getting more contemptuous and anti-authoritarian as I get older. In my off-time I'm a musician, always involved in at least a few projects. Although I prefer to look at that as my on-time, with my day job being the off-time. Former shut-in, recent world traveler (I'm as surprised as anyone who knows me). Refuse to capitulate to traditional standards of living and livelihood. Plenty of pet peeves, here's a quick sampling: CD spines printed to read from bottom to top, brake- and/or gas-pumping train operators, religious agendas, adverbs used as adjectives especially on state-manufactured signage ("GO SLOW" is a favorite), slow and veering walkers who although oblivious to your presence behind them still instinctively know just how to thwart your efforts to get around them, the Patriot Act (more than a pet peeve, really), celebrity obsessions, American news media, flip-flop sandals, sweatpants worn in public, sweatpants with tiger stripes, white sweatpants with red and blue tiger stripes (popular among Buffalo Bills fans) -- ahh okay now I'm getting all pissed off.
