About Me:
I am the product of a labor lawyer and a cantankerous newspaper
publisher (who now calls himself a republican). When those
two characters were still married to each other, they had
tie-dyed speaker covers. Cool, right? Then, I went to
college where I was a big, dorky debater (not that any of
the rest of you debaters were). Now I live in SF, with: a junvenile male parrot, two adult female guinea
pigs, and an adult male

Who I Want to Meet:
Someone who can teach me how to crochet. People with other
(girl!) guinea pigs that Bart and Muni can play with.A beginning level Japanese study buddy, or perhaps a Japanese speaking person who will put up with my butchery in exchange for my willingness to help them practice English, too.

one of those people who can multiply
like 20 6-digit numbers in her head in
seconds. She is one of the few people
around who actually would have a right
to be pretentious, but she's like the
most unpretentious person around. Her
blogger used to make me laugh once in a
while...that is until she stopped
blogging. Oh yeah, I made up that
multiplication thing, but she probably
knows how to juggle fish and that would
be cool.
that it would be frightening to even be
within 20 feet of her, except that
she's also the nicest, warmest, most
giving person ever. How's it possible
for all that to be bundled up in one
person? Perhaps she's cloned and we
don't know. If so, Sam's one lucky
guy...
perceptive, and she's so unassuming
about it all. everyone can learn a lot
about humanity from jess. jess is the
best of what human beings can be.

about her makes me want to break into
song. This chick is cool.
she wears flip-flops with panache. I am
so glad to be part of her menagerie --
she is my absolute favorite cousin-in-
common-law.

with her. Besides which, she's a
notary. Come on, people - do you know
any other notaries who are this cool?
for you see, one day she will rule the
universe. and when that day is upon
you, if you have wronged her, you may
find yourself in charge of churning the
composting toilets. conversely, treat
her well now, and she may eventually
have you over to her galactic palace
and let you play with the cloud maker.
and then you could fasion clouds in the
shape of loveliness for the whole world
to behold. oh what fun THAT would be!
consume one's own afterbirth or why she
has such a weakness for Helen Keller
jokes, but Jess is one of the nicest
skin horses I have ever known.
