      • Bruce sang on one of my favorite and
        most influential albums ever, the
RIGOR MORTIS s/t. The subject matter,
        lyrics and amazing leadwork and
atmosphere made this album and band a
legend in the underground metal scene
        and provided the quintessential gore
metal template before gore metal even
        existed, fu*king brilliant! Hey Bruce,
hook me up with some Chainsaw Chili
        Bro!

      • Rigor Mortis wasn't the only heavy
metal band to come from Dallas-Fort
        Worth. Don't forget about Drowning
Pool and Pantera. (And Bloodrock back
in the 70's!) For those of you who
weren't hip to RM back in the day, you
        might recognize guitarist Mike Scaccia
        playing with Al Jourgenson in
Ministry. Bass player Casey Orr later
joined GWAR, and now plays in the
Burden Brothers (with Todd Lewis from
        The Toadies) David Oglivie, who
produced Rigor Mortis' first album, is
the brother of Ogre from Skinny Puppy,
and he now works with Nine Inch Nails.
(We love the "six degrees" thing, if
you haven't noticed.) Good luck with
your book! Peace, love and Bill's___

      • Bruce was the lead singer of Rigor
Mortis, an infamous Dallas speed metal
band that was featured on the soundtrack
to the movie "Decline of Western
Civilization II". They were one of the
first bands from Deep Ellum to land a
major label record deal when they signed
with Capitol in 1988, and they opened
shows for Megadeth and Death Angel.
Great band - one of the best metal bands
        I've ever heard i
