PIGSA or the Progressive Igorots for Social Action:
a progressive indigenous organization;it provides a venue to share common issues affecting the Cordillera indigenous peoples esp the youth, and to take necessary action to resolve such issues/conflicts; it is part of the larger indigenous Peoples' struggle for ancestral land rights and self-determination.
a school-based student organization; Cordillera students share common problems with the rest of the Filipino youth esp their democratic rights and welfare.
a mass organization; oriented to serve the interests of the poor, deprived and oppressed esp the peasants/farmers and workers.
a national democratic organization; the national democratic struggle rests primarily on the basic alliance of workers and peasants along with other oppressed sectors.
