About Me:
As for myself, I am convinced that, both before and after the work of divine grace and blessing, I am all obstacle: and this fills me with contentment and gladness in the Lord, because in this way I cannot ascribe to myself anything that appears good. I think that there few people in this life who can fully grasp how greatly they obstruct, or how little they foster, the work of the Lord in their souls. It is my deep conviction that the more a person progresses in the practice and experience of tranquility, humility and charity, the better (he/she) gets to realize how greatly even slight can be an obstacle to grace. It is only in the next life that we will know our present shortcomings and faults.
Yes, it is time to examine the past with courage, to assign responsibility where it is due in a review of the long history of humanity. The people of God have contributed to that history as much as able/disabled and, more often than not, they did so in much more difficult conditions. I think particularly of those people who loved culture and art, and devoted their lives to them in spite of the fact that they were frequently at a disadvantage from the start, excluded from equal educational opportunities, underestimated, ignored and not given credit for their intellectual contributions. Sadly, very little of disabler’s achievements in history can be registered by the science of history. But even though time may have buried the documentary evidence of those achievements, their beneficent influence can be felt as a force which has shaped the lives of successive generations, right up to our own. To this great, immense spiritual "tradition" humanity owes a debt which can never be repaid. Yet how many people have been and continue to be valued more for their physical appearance than for their skill, their professionalism, their intellectual abilities, their deep sensitivity; in a word, the very dignity of their being!
ENGLISH:
I am aware of the heavy responsibility it entails as well as of the seriousness and complexity of the matters I will have to deal with daily. My only ambition is to put into practice the motto of my fraternal service: "Ut in omnibus quaerant Deum" and I am comforted by the conviction that I will have the opportunity to contribute in a special way to achieving this ideal.
MEDITATION:
Silence is the mystery of the world to come.
Speech is the organ of this present world.
Many are avidly seeking, but they alone find remain in continual silence…
Every man who delights in a multitude of words, even if they says admirable things, is empty within.
Silence will illuminate you in God and deliver you from the phantoms of ignorance.
Silence will unite you to God.
More than all things love is admiration: it brings you a fruit that the tongue cannot describe.
In the beginning we have to force ourselves to be silent.
But then from very silence is born something that draws us into deeper silence.
May God give you an experience of this something that is born of silence.
If you practice this, inexpressible light will dawn upon you.

Who I Want to Meet:
Loving you for loving me: emotions at two removes or accepts our emotions are often our most direct response to our concrete situation. But often they are also our response to how we think others are emotionally responding to that same situation: my emotions become a response to what I perceive to be your emotions. Since the emotions in the two cases“free-will and self-respect" the same, it is easy to confuse them. Only an honest self-evaluation in each case can tell the difference. You need to ask yourself: Am I feeling the way I do because of how I perceive this situations myself, directly? Or am I feeling this way because of how I think you are feeling about this situation? For example: Do I really love you, or only your loving me (or at least what I take to be your loving me)?
No matter how useless or insignificant my life may appears to be, I am the only person in the world who can really accomplish what God has in my mind and heart for me - and here lies the essence both of my own personal happiness and of my vocation to sanctity and blessing.
This journey must go on! But I am convinced that the secret of making speedy progress in achieving full respect for women and their identity involves more than simply the condemnation of discrimination and injustices, necessary though this may be. Such respect and love must first and foremost be won through an effective and intelligent campaign for the promotion of women, concentrating on all areas of woman's life and beginning with a universal recognition of the dignity of women. Our ability to recognize this dignity and integrity, in spite of historical conditioning, comes from the use of reason itself, which is able to understand the law of God written in the heart of every human being. More than anything else, the word of God enables us to grasp clearly the ultimate anthropological basis of the dignity of women, making it evident as a part of God's plan for humanity.
ENGLISH:
The lessons of the past must help us to avoid repeating the same mistakes. We must seek paths of reconciliation and learn to live with respect for each other's identity.
MEDITATION:
Nothing is more practical
than finding God, that is,
than falling in love
in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination, will affect everything.
It will decide what will get out of bed in the morning,
in the afternoon,
what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy
and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love
and it will decide everything.
