I was thinking maybe at 75 we could take figure drawing classes together at the art museum and swap stories about spiritual riots left in our hearts. we'll trace nude bodies, play footsie and brag about moments of ecstasy we've experienced with lovers. we'll walk arm and arm in the gardens, tipsy from afternoon martinis and enjoy each others hopes still. preparing for that wonderful time, keep your heart full, your desires lit, and love well. I'll be waiting for you down on circle drive...
been incredibly smart, cool & funny
since the day he was born. You should
have seen how he decorated his crib. I
though my nanny might have a heart
attack.
gentilmen an a skoalr.
(See, he coached an illiterate through
grad school.) Though one of the great
regrets is that i had the audacity to
ditch out on him in New York, after a
year of wonder in exploring the ideas
that bend the world to the shape in
which we choose.
Honestly, the most sincere and genuine
friend. And would have been, and may
yet one day be, the best-man in my
wedding. And "Fergus" jokes aside, I
will as well name my first son "Will."
(or maybe "William". Hey, it helps that
it's a family name anyway, heh.)
What can I say?
Butterflies, bones, carnivals, freaks, Rimbaud, old
books, new books, Scrabble, New
York, Cairo, Paris, Cleveland, halloween, Ira
Glass, This American Life, Bob Dylan, Mason
Jennings, more bones, wax sculptures, monkeys,
diptychs, triptychs, Joseph Cornell, Ezra Cornell,
middle name "Cornell", Fiji Mermaids, trepanning,
Charing Cross books, Giant Eagle sushi,
Occham's Razor, Schrodinger's Cat, asceticism,
orrories (sp?), Freakatorium, Mutter Museum,

It *is* only a paper moon, isn't it?
