The contest: who could finish one lb. of spaghetti first.
The prize: I don't particularly remember.
Gary, armed only with some weird korean zhajiangmyun sauce and me with an assortment of chinese sauces went to duel for the coveted title of top eater.
I thought I had the upper hand, having practiced a special move, a technique learned from the master Kobayashi himself -- the Kobayashi shake.
If memory serves me correctly, he finished in a little under 20 mins. Myself, well, let's not speak of that. Needless to say, Gary is not one to be trifled with -- in the food courts or in the judicial courts.
and i don't even think i've ever
argued with him, either. and
considering we're family, that's like,
rare and stuff.
there were times both he and I wondered
if this were ever going to happen. I am
