never forget the time we put crawdads
into my mothers motorized fountain.

you would say like "hard as steel yet
brittle as... peanut brittle" and you

life. The second "pickle" was an
imagined inadequacy (easily remedied).
The third "pickle" was an actual
pickle, green and tangy, a dill. I gave
him the advice that I give everyone
regarding everything, "When life gives
you pickles, make picklade."
