across campus like she had somewhere to
go. she'd run head-down back and forth
between whereever, and she was, like
most, always coming or going. i'd watch
from windows and classrooms and
rooftops. i'd watch her run all over.
frequented the holistic grocery
store. i clearly remeber the time
when she fell for the grocier, but
when he told ed that she was full of
bad toxins, she got offended and ran
from the premices without getting her
$20 cash back from her debit card. i
had to comfort her with some gelitan
free whipped cream and a pluot.
i still don't know if she ever got
over that.
