BAGWIS is the Official Student Publication of the Mindanao State University in General Santos City, the Philippines. It aims to set the standards of campus journalism in the University and the city.

BAGWIS is more than a publication. It is a group of students anchored on making a change in the academic world's cradle of democracy in General Santos City-The Mindanao State University. It is positive transformation that we long to create in today's world. Positive transformation is its mission.

Mission

BAGWIS exists to be a publication that conforms to the standards of ethical journalism in unleashing voices of truth on the students’ behalf, to be the defender of truth and justice, to promote press freedom and its role in the growth of every Filipino youth, in order to bring about positive transformation in the University and the world that surrounds it.

Vision

We are an organization committed to a culture of excellence and nobility in service. Believing that the pen is a mighty tool in catalyzing change within the University and the community that it surrounds, we envision a fully-transformed Mindanao State University-General Santos that has the heart for the welfare of the students.
We foresee a true and just publication that promotes the press as an invaluable tool in the growth of every Filipino youth.
This is our vision. With the aid of the Divine Providence, we devote our talents to its realization.
