mediocre or undefined way. He has
attained the level of niceness that only a
very intelligent and good-humored
person can reach, and only then when
they are secure in their intelligence, and
feel no need to put it on ostentatious
display. Which is all to say that you
might think him only to be a good-
humored person at first glance (and not
with any special amount of intelligence)
if you were not very observant, but you
would be sadly mistaken; his
intelligence is of a very quiet and right
sort, and I understand that he can be
terrifying if provoked.
