      • my fondest memories of jamie take place in the convenience stores and public transportation systems of japan and taiwan. when you're with jamie even the most banal things become "crazy life." he's one of the funnest humans ever.

      • Jamie and I lived together for many years of our formative young adulthood. We got crushes on the same girls, ate from the same crockpot, and laughed at the same jokes. He would disappear into his room for a while and then come back and announce he has developed a new life-organization-and-prioritization-system: four pillars of life, who's carrying the rock, five fingers to freedom, etc. He'll make flow charts, timetables, and flashcards in order to learn things. He'll leave butcher paper diagrams and half-read library books lying around the house. He doesn't like the way I chew my cereal. What a guy, I surely do miss him. Denver should lend him back to Providence for a while.

      • pretty much everything about jamie surprised
        me. i like that. it was fun being in a band with
        him - the rehearsals even more than the
        shows, with the exception of the bexley show
        that we played in tyvek jumpsuits. we chanted
        beforehand. i seem to remember there were
        girls there.
