I'm a New York girl transplanted to San Diego. Despite any earlier protestations, I'm enjoying living on a coast where you CAN get to the beach in 10 minutes. And you can go to the beach on any day of the year. It may not be warm enough to SWIM every day of the year, but it's certainly warm enough to dig your feet into the sand and walk your dog.

I LOVE my American Bulldog, Alex. I vocalize her funny facial expressions. She is completely deaf, and does not play well with other animals, so she is strictly a house- and leash-dog. But she is very sweet and cuddly, and I have trouble imagining a life without her cute drooly little face.

I just acted in a short film, and am looking for opportunities to act, edit or do makeup for more films. Getting back to my Vassar film degree roots.

Oh, and I ran a ten minute mile today. Life is grand.

I'm not too picky: likes fun, likes to think, and hates to be bored. Can think of good books I haven't read yet. Likes to sing in the car on the way to the Mall, where we will waste time in sporadic splurges of blatant consumerism. Also will needle me to mind my budget, and curb said consumerism. Yes, I appreciate a friend who can contradict him or herself while still making sense.

Also occasionally enjoys the silent joys of content togetherness, the kind where you may both be reading separate books in the same room, sharing urgently sharable items of note. Or watching TV.
