This is England : Film yang ber-setting pada masa kepemimpinan Margareth Thatcher ini menceritakan tentang Shaun [Thomas Turgoose] yang bertemu dengan Woody [Joe G], Milky [Andrew Shim] dan komunitas Skinhead di sebuah terowongan pasca keluarga Shaun ditinggal sang ayah yang gugur di perang Falkland. Pertemuan yang singkat itu membuat Shaun tertarik bergabung dengan komunitas Skinhead sehingga membuat hari-hari yang sepi dan sendiri menjadi lebih berwarna. Apalagi Shaun menjalin kasih dengan Cyntia [Jo Hurley], seorang skinhead-girl. Hal itu menjadi dilema tersendiri bagi Ibu Shaun. Keadaan mulai berubah saat Combo [Stephen Graham], seorang skinhead fasis yang baru keluar dari penjara mulai berkuasa dan tidak suka dengan Milky yang berkulit hitam. Ketika Combo mengusir Milky, Woody langsung marah dan pergi meninggalkan komunitas itu. Hal itu juga bikin hubungannya dengan Shaun menjadi renggang karena Combo mengobarkan semangat Inggris di perang Falkland.
