A typical day for me: wake up around 1 or 2pm, check email and news, sit at the coffeeshop for about 4 hours reading and/or writing, come home and check email again, do a little work, watch a movie or play a game til I fall asleep.

Life is good.

I'm a technical writer and corporate cosultant by trade, screenwriter by ambition. But I have a lot of varied interests - singing, novel-writing, staff spinning, martial arts, cooking, theatre, cinema. There's pretty much not a distraction or creative outlet that I don't enjoy.

My treats: Kabuki Hot Springs, a weekend at Harbin, travel (esp. France), BURNING MAN, dinner with friends. And most of all, my definition of heaven: a quiet corner of a nice, peaceful coffeeshop or cafe, a really good latte, a blank notepad and a smooth pen. Ahhhh, sweet life.

I believe that the purpose of this life is to make a true, authentic connection with other people. To really understand someone and have that person understand you. That's what it's all about to me.

I live in the heart of SF right now, so authenticity is a pretty rare commodity. That's why when I find it, I cherish it. I try to include people in my life who are honest with themselves and, by extension, honest with me. People who live with passion and aren't afraid to explore the hidden grottos of reality.
