About Me:
I was reading a book once that was written in the early 1930's. In the prologue, the author actually said that he hoped that the League of Nations would finally enable mankind to end all wars and promise a bright future for humanity. At first I laughed because of what history has taught me. Then I was sad because I was reminded we are all slaves to hindsight. Then I was scared because I realized no matter how sure we are of the future, fate will continue to make fools of us all. Yet, I was comforted in my faith that its more important to love those around you than to control things you cannot see. A touch of cynicism, a lot of empathy, a dose of rationality, but the rest riding on faith... that's me, oh and I hate raisins, I can't stand the taste of raisins, they look like little pieces of rat shit.
Update: My world-wide tour is over. After pub-crawling all around Aotearoa, playing wing-man for lesbians in Sydney, bartering for cigarettes in Bangkok airport, running with the drunkards in Barcelona, and dancing on 2-story wind-sills in London, I've returned home to Brooklyn, only to hurt myself finally by falling on the subway tracks. I'm alright, but the irony that is my life has not changed.
Update (May 20, 2007): I'm fighting the urge to go traveling again.
