people are always telling me how pretty my friend
sarah is, which makes me very smug. but then i
think, the fact that she is beautiful doesn't really
say anything about me. it's the fact that she is
intuitive and witty and clever and that her heart is
enormous--just by association, i am a better
person. plus, she lets me wear her fat pants. so i
say brava, cara mia.
Sarah thinks I will say she is a bad
cook, but I honestly have no
recollection of poor talent in this
girl. I hear things are going quite
well for her in the big city. I hope
she realizes that life is to be
enjoyed and that she's got all the
tools to do it. I love her spirit, and
that will never be lost to anything.
