I was born on September 11, 1982 and i am an Indian film actress & is a Virgoan. I began my career acting in Telugu language films in the Telugu cinema industry, while also attending an acting studio, to follow my dream to act. After my debut in 2001 with Ishtam, I gained Indian cinema's attention in 2002 by playing the role of Bhanu in Santhosham, my first major hit. I reached superstardom by enacting the role of Anjali in the Telugu language film, Nuvve Nuvve, my first blockbuster, and since then I have acted in over twenty Indian films. I have recently switched my main intention of Indian regional films from Telugu to Tamil language ventures. My most prestigious projects to date are Chiranjeevi's Tagore and Rajinikanth's Sivaji: The Boss which happens to be the largest and the most expensive movie made in India till date.And now about my early and present life...I was brought up in Ranipur, Haridwar, the holy city. I have an elder brother 'Abhiroop', who is married to Arti. I have completed my schooling from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi. I have done B.A. (Literature) from Lady Sri Ram College(LSR). I have a serious interest in classical dancing, and i am a accomplished Kathak dancer, under the guidance of my guru Shobha Narayan. I started my career as a model and this led to roles in advertisements and in music albums.
