the following reasons. One, he's kinda
big. Well, bigger than me anyway, so he
might kick my ass in a fight. Two, he
shoots pretty pictures, prettier than
mine. Three, he hangs out with Steve,
who is very very tall and hence scary.
Four, when he talks about movies, I feel
so small and inferior in the face of his
immense knowledge that I merely nod
and smile. Five, he worked at the Cage,
which gave him immense power of Life
and Death over my projects.
But then I found out Will wasn't so scary
after all. He's actually pretty damn
awesome. Word.
becomes a successful filmmaker and I
come crawling to his doorstep for a
job, I can only hope he'll merely slam
the door in my face and refrain from
kicking my ass to the curb.
more Tennessee than Will (and some
people would say that's a strike against me),
but who's closer to Dollywood when he goes
home for Christmas, huh? You'd better
believe it's Will. I'm Tennessee Old Man
River-style. He's Tennessee freaky tourists/
woman with freakishly large...eyes style. But
his side of the state does have Rock City. I
guess he wins again, dangit.
on set, did he stop shooting and go
home? no. he propped up his foot on
apple boxes during his breaks and used
a gobo arm for a cane.
what else can i say? he's the best.
short for william, then i found out
it's actually short for willanthropic,
a word that i've actually never heard
before and have no idea what it
means. but, willanthropic beckley is
a-okay in my book. i don't
actually "have" a book, of course, but
if i did have a book with cool people
listed from a to z, willanthropic
would fit right under the b column.
because his last name starts with b.
beckley.
questions of the evening, and michel
gondry looked grateful. will RAWKS!
and should attend one of the 2 death cab
shows this april.
probably the most literary and least
abusive testimonials I had ever
received. Classy man that I am,
instead of answering him I opted to try
to make a lemon tart. The tart turned
out horribly and I spent most of that
evening crying and wishing I'd written a
testimonial for Will that accurately
depicts his excellence. Now, a handful
of years after meeting him and months
after the lemon tart, I've decided that
Will's an excellent man, the sort of
person who will view you with suspicion,
but not anger, when he suspects you've
lost his CD. He also had the strength
of courage to withstand the allure of a
proposed stage adaptation of Reservoir
Dogs, and we can all appreciate that
stand. Will is one funky man, sure to
one day be counted in the company of
such greats as George Clinton, Isaac
Hayes, and the immortal, everlasting
Citizen Cope. BOW TO HIM! BOW TO HIM
NOW!!!
