When writing a biography, one usually starts from the beginning, but to do so in this case, would be to include way too many useless changes of names and members, and so on. With this in mind, we're going to jump to the summer of 2003, when the emerging band, All Time Low truly began to make it's mark on Baltimore's local music scene. As a five piece band, the lineup included Rian Dawson on drums, Chris Cortilello on bass, TJ Ihle on lead guitar and backup vocals, and Jack Barakat also on guitar. Completing the lineup was Alex Gaskarth sporting the microphone and a beautiful haircut.
As the months flew by, there became a noticeable difference in the amount of effort being put out by each member, and friendships began to waver. Chris and TJ decided to quit, probably for the best of the band, and their own futures. From this point, there spawned a long period of time where absolutely nothing was happening; and the band was forced to lie dormant, lacking a bassist. However, much like a phoenix rising from it's ashes, All Time Low was destined to rise again...
Enter Zack Merrick. With hair almost as beautiful as Alex's, Zack was introduced to the band through a friend, and fit perfectly. There was now a bond between all four members, and quality music was now being produced as a result. In order to once again create a full, enjoyable sound, Alex hefted up a six-string of his own - and thus, the All Time Low as we know it today, was born. As for the future of the band, what can be said is one thing; All Time Low will force it's way into the hearts of many, and keep on rocking from there.
