I am currently living in sunny Baghdad, Iraq. Fun capital of the world. By trade I was a political hack. But now I teach political operatives in emerging "democracies" how to be political hacks, with varying measures of success. I've lived in Iraq, Azerbaijan and Georgia. (Georgia rocks!)I went to university with the intention of becoming a vertebrate paleontologist - but I failed calculus. Therefore, I switched to political science. Unlike most political science majors, I actually went into politics, hacking around state and federal government and elections for about 10 years. I have a number of good friends, despite being a misanthrope. When not boring people about politics I generally spend my time boring people on topics of paleontology, evolutionary biology & cognitive science, US foreign policy, The Batman, philosophy, cartoons, the Enlightenment vs. the Medieval and any stupid reading material I might be indulging in. As far as friends or activity partners go, anyone not doctrinaire. You meet a lot of doctrinairre people in politics. I especially like hanging out with people with opposing political viewpoints. It gets boring agreeing with people all the time.As far who I'd want to meet for dating/relationships? I don't know. Someone who knows why Hal Jordan was a way better Green Lantern than Kyle Rayner?I'm a Steppenwolf seeking Hermine. (and if you get that - I'd probably like to meet ya)
