About Me:
6/05
I'm doing labor organizing with SEIU in Oregon. Spending time in the homes of working class, mostly white, women who are doing domestic day cares on the fringes of the economy. Listening to their stories, agitating around the injustices they endure, discussing forward movement. Really long hours, way too much time spent in the car.
Labor organizing so far seems dramatically more effective than organizing I have previously engaged in. We shall see if I retain this perspective in a year or so.

Who I Want to Meet:
whoever has something to teach me about living.
And, I want to meet the freak who crafts the AFSCME childcare campaign in Oregon. When I'm drunk. Then I can really just use my cast for the purpose god intended it for. Classist freakin' a-holes.

our connection was in the works long before you and i had any say in the matter.
now that, that's tight.
talked about young people's career
paths and middle class anxieties at the
macher conference in chicago...that and
her rendition of both hands, her brutal
honesty, that she's an amazing friend
and was concerned that someone would
be dating someone who sits in the
rafters and her ability to laugh at the
absurdity of it all. i think you should still
ride horses bareback toting guns and
blazing the world on fire - we all need a
little bit more of your spark.
been there when i needed someone to
talk to, and she has always been there
for Angie which pretty much makes me
love her even more. her desire to
change the world is so infectious that
i find myself agreeing to things that
no one else can talk me into. i love
laura and you should too!
explanation (from anti-oppression
analysis to just wanting to get laid)
for why you like Mos Def, I can try to
hook it up. What is up with white
activist womyn crushing on Mos anyways,
huh? I crush a lot on hip hop artists,
but Mos!?! Little bit cute, but ain't
all that, plus I think he's taken by Alicia.
It was good to see you in PDX last
month. Can't wait to go up there again.
It was interesting to learn that we've
developed a congruent and coherent
delusion about organizing, organizers,
revolution, and radical politics.
Revolutionary Virgos forever! Much love
from the Bay, Ramses.
bottle of Jack now and stop holding it
like it was your fvckin baby? jeez...
good on you! I'll bet it's union made
in the USA (or maybe Canada).
Anyway, from what I hear, Laura is a
damn good consensus trainer. I
wish I had time to get to know her
more that weekend. (I'm glad you're
still wearing the shirt--I mean how
can you beat genderfuck flash tatoo
art?)
