      I doubt your beliefs.
"'God is always there.' Where? He surely must be somewhere if he's really there. Who made that particular 'somewhere' for god to exist?"

      • About Me:

Illogic is just another word for superstitious belief. In this world of reality so far we have not known anything illogical except that it frequently and commonly occurs in a person’s own mind. We humans could be the only living creatures who are privileged to have evolved with an advanced brain capable of thinking, speculating, predicting, imagining, fantasizing and etc. We, along with other living beings, are just a product of evolution. The only thing that makes us distinguished from other living beings is that we are bestowed with an imaginative volition.

With this gifted thinking device being manufactured over millions of years we find ourselves in the midst of questions, questions like: why are we here? Where did we come from? What is the purpose of life? Where are we going? I am not religious unfortunately, so what is your own version of religious answers? I suppose you have found most of them if not all.

Will you get offended if I tell you that your flocks are animals? Or maybe you would prefer me calling them sand or soil as alternatives. In the bible, Genesis claims to have the answer for the origin of life. ‘Say, you are walking in a garden one day,’ they say, ‘if you find a watch resting on the lawn. With its sophisticated look, you can’t help thinking that it must have a designer.’ So I can guess what your answer will be, ‘we are very sophisticated, and therefore we are designed.’ But I think that to you things that do not look complicated must also be designed otherwise the whole idea of Genesis is going to collapse. By the way, is God not more intricate than us? Oh maybe He does not have the look to look designed. But are we not created in God’s image? Just out of curiosity, as the bible says God created light and then separate light and darkness. Since everything must be created, who created the darkness then? If God did, then what was before the darkness? Ok, ok, darkness is an empty space. Then who created the empty space? If it has been there all along, that empty space must be God himself. ‘No! No! God is outside time and space.’ Err, do you mean he is inside some kind of solid packed with carbon atoms or inside the carbon itself surrounded by electrons? I will leave these to you.

‘Evolution tells us how all species come into being, but not how life came into being, what do you have to say about that?’ I concede that I do not have the answer. But do not worry, friend. Scientists are working on it. Well, I do not know whether they are going succeed it but evolution has been a fascinating breakthrough serving as a preliminary step to the origin of life. Even if it is not going to be successful, isn’t evolution enough to refute the all-species-were-created-as-the-way-they-are theory, since we have the supportive evidence? In evidence, I mean the archeological evidence and also many contemporary proofs from our microscopic friends in medicine, and not Origin of Species by Charles Darwin because a book will not prove anything but its own and existence the author’s. And the authors can either be sane or otherwise.

Now let’s come to the point. What I am trying to advocate is that in this world there are many things yet to be answered and maybe unanswerable. But scientists have been doing a very nice job in the last few decades answering most of the questions, which have been wrongly conceived under superstition and religion. Although I do not believe in any physical illogical phenomenon, I do not go around telling people that it does not exist because I can’t prove it, just as you can’t prove that Guan Ying, the Chinese God does not exist. So what I can say to you is that the existence of illogical stuff, which includes Allah, Yahweh, Hercules, Frodo, Peter Pan, and other cartoon characters, is very unlikely and inappropriate. I am still open to the possibility that God exists as I am open to the possibility that a little mermaid exists. You can see that I am an agnostic. But I prefer the title Atheist to replace the lengthy phrase like an agnostic whose belief in illogical stuff is near zero.

Since illogical things are so remote, let us spend our limited time on something worth spent for. Let’s be reasonable and rational. Let’s think critically about the world around us. Let’s save lives by providing proper medical care and education. Let’s spare lives with secular reasoning. Think and we can make the world a better place to live in.

      • Who I Want to Meet:

Sceptics, rational and reasonable people, logical and critcal thinkers, humanists and secularists, and all ATHEISTS around the world.

      • You’re welcome Lee. That’s the right thing to do. Some people don’t even acknowledge the good things that a person did. They think that they did it alone. That’s too self-centered for me. During the war here in the Philippines, many Chinese also fought because the Spaniards wanted to kill them. Yeah. They are really stupid. They don’t even realize that a person’s life and integrity is the most important. And those religious beliefs are the reasons why they do such bigotry acts. Religion brainwashes and teaches a person not to use his capability to analyze. I was really sad. That’s what religion is bringing to them. I hope that it would change someday to make the world a better place. I want to make a difference. This is quite impossible but, I wish all atheists, non-believers all over the world will unite to make such actions to stop the stupidity of religion and so that the people will be free from their chains.
