About Me:
Sun and Moon in Sagittarius, Ascendant in Virgo
I make things like music and literary criticism. I have good intuition and sometimes I *know* things and it scares me. You don't want to know what I know cause you can never go back to how it was before you knew.

People who already *know*.

with some kind of degree, watch out
world.
the kind that turns s imple question at
a cafe into a conversation, and then a
conversation into a friend. I'm sorry to
say I missed her last party; I'm livin
in Santa Cruz now, but still knowing
we'll be bumpin again. tyfahra is traction.
Girls on the Lifetime network one day.
She asked, "Which Golden Girl am I the
most like?" I had to think about this
for 0.03 seconds, then
answered, "Sophia." "WHY!!?!" cried
Tyfahra. "Because she's MEAN and
CRAZY??!!?" "Of COURSE not," I
said. "Because she's wise, witty,
honest, lovable, gives good advice,
has a heart of gold, and doesn't take
bullshit from anybody. She's the glue
that holds the four of them together."
Eventually, Tyfahra agreed that I was
right.
there wasn't anybody else to do it. She
played the Shins and Pete Yorn for me,
and she took me bowling. She also made
me watch the Olympics with her that one
night, for which I'll always be very
grateful. I dunno. I would never have
gotten to know Tyfahra if it weren't
for Jill, and so I guess I owe them
both a great big thank-you. But this
testimonial is about Tyfahra.
conversations with her that made me
rethink large portions of my worldview
(thank you!). Her knowledge of
pornography is simultaneously
intimidating and endearing. I also
like her theory about how attractive
people are under a moral obligation to
give it up.
Seattle/Chicago: Tyfahra's driving
songs. Two girls going to strip
clubs. Taking naked pictures of a
stranger in a horror movie novelty
shop. When she bought a 24-pack of
toilet paper, but was still Tee-Tee
from the block. Don't be fooled by the
rolls that she's got. The Cartoon
Network Dance. Tyfahra rules.
Really.
photography, and camping. She is
brilliant. She has an amazing voice
and a facility for language matched
only by her facility for anything she
tries. She does woodworking on a whim
and can figure out your interest rates
an hour later. She sees beneath the
surface of things and writes it all
down in a notebook, in a writer's
observative way. She keeps all her
ticket stubs. She will always give you
good advice and knows that life is what
you make of it. She makes you feel that
things are going to work out. She gave
me the chance I needed. She surprised
me with tickets to a Nick Drake movie
once. I wrote her another testimonial
because she is just superdeeduper.
