On June 02, 1997, the school opened its doors to three hundred thirteen boys & girls who composed the first batch of of pupils in Junior Prep to Grade 4. Twenty-three team players composed of 15 faculty members & 8 non-teaching staff & support personnel welcomed the children to their second home.
With the opening of the new campus along Sumulong Highway in June 02, 2001, the school was fully operational with 312 students from First to Third Year High School with the assistance of 2 administrators, nine faculty members, & one Guidance Counselor,
one Librarian, 2 non-teaching staff & 2 maintenance personnel.
Committed to the delivery of excellent education, the SBIS Family constantly invokes the intercession of St. Bro. Benilde Romancon, the 1st Brother of the Christian schools (FSC) to be declared as saint because he did ordinary things extra ordinarily well. The commitment to the ministry is renewed annually every 13th of August, the school's Foundation Day in commemoration of his death.
